Frederick L. (Freddie) Baxter

Obituary:
BAXTER, Frederick, "Freddie" 55 a native and life long resident of Plant City died on July 19, 2003 in Tampa. He was a Protestant and an Army Ranger with the 101st Airborne, a veteran of Vietnam, where he re ceived the Purple Heart among other decorations. He was employed with the Hillsborough County Property Appraisers office. He was Santa Claus for the Plant City Christmas Parade for ten years. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; son, Frederick E. Baxter II; daughter, Cindy Wyatt and husband Timmy; also two grandchildren, Garrett and Trenton Wyatt, all of Plant City. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2003 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Haught Funeral Home Chapel with services on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the New Hope Worship Center, with Rev. Jim Creel officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Haught Funeral Home 717-9300

DENNY BONDS

BONDS, Denny, 60 of Tampa, passed away June 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford “Sug” Bonds and son, Jordan Bonds. Survivors include his loving wife, Cheri Bonds of Tampa; mother, Ruby Bonds of Valrico; children, Scott Bonds, Jennifer Howard (Steven), Josh Bonds and Taylor Marie Livingston (Stephen); grandchildren, Miles and MacKenzie Howard and Jonas Bonds; three brothers, Cliff (Susan), Stevie (Connie) and Tommy; sister, Mary Williams (Robert); and numerous nieces and nephews. Service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Terrace Oaks Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. PLANT CITY - Mrs. Carol G. Clement, 65, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at her home due to respiratory failure.
She was born May 4, 1948 in Plant City, Fl to Arthur and Irene Brewington. Mrs. Clement attended Family Worship Center in Lakeland.
She is survived by her husband, Leon "Billy" Clement; daughters, Carol Trankle Watts and Cathy Del Castillo; grandchildren, Vance Hall, Ethan Del Castillo and Kylie Del Castillo; sister, Leslie Stewart; twin sister, Jeannie Crauswell; and a brother, David Brewington.
The visitation will be tonight (Tuesday) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Serenity Gardens Chapel (3350 Mall Hill Drive). Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.

JAMES (Jimmy) BROWN

PLANT CITY - Mr. James T. Brown, Sr. "Jimmy Brown", age 61, of Plant City went to be with the Lord on June 12th 2010 due to his battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mable Brown and father Tom Brown, both of Plant City.
Jim Sr. graduated from Plant City High School, Class of '67 and attended St. Leo College. He then served his country in the Marines and retired out of the service.
He is survived by one son James T. Brown Jr. "Jim Jr.", daughter-in-law Jennifer Brown, one grandson Zachary Brown and two granddaughters, Meadow and Kendy Brown, all of Lakeland.
There will be a memorial service at Mt. Enon Primitive Baptist Church 3624 N. Frontage Rd. Plant City, Saturday June the 19th 12:00-1:00. Lunch to follow. No flowers please, covered dish appreciated.

BOBBY BRYANT

PLANT CITY -- Mr. Robert "Bobby" Bryant of Plant City died of cancer Tuesday (March 30, 2004) in Plant City. He was 55.Born in Plant City on Aug. 22, 1948, he was a lifelong resident. He was a chemical operator for CF Industries. He was a Baptist.Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Doris Bryant; sons, James Johns, North Charleston, S.C., Ron Johns, Plant City, Robby Bryant, Lakeland; daughters, Donna Johns, Angie Scheib, both of Lakeland, Pam Johns, Frankfort, Ky., Lori Bryant Paske, Sarasota; mother, Bettye Bryant, Plant City; brother, Joe Bryant, Plant City; sister, Leila Meek, Plant City; 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Wells Memorial Funeral Chapel, Plant City. Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Denver Burtz

Denver Burtz, age 70, of Decatur, Tennessee passed away on December 16, 2019.

A native of Plant City, Florida, he was the son of the late Richard and Mary Louise Kendrick Burtz.

Survivors include his wife; Frieda Burtz, children; Richard (Bobbie Jo) Burtz, Shannon Rene Garrett, Ariana Dey, siblings; Richard Eugene Burtz, Julius Burtz, Fred Burtz, John Burtz, Mabel Morgan, Danny Burtz, four grandchildren; Amberly Burtz, Anjali (A.J) Garrett, Daytona Dey, and Leon Jaden Butler.

Denver is also preceded in death by siblings; Harry Burtz, Bill Burtz, Dorothy Burtz, and Charlsey Chutter.

Denver proudly worked for Publix for 48 years, 28 of which he spent truck driving. He also loved to garden.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 20, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W Dr MLK Jr Blvd, Plant City, FL 33563. Funeral services will follow Saturday, December, 21 2019 at 11:00 AM at Haught Funeral Home.

RAYMOND CLENDENING

CLENDENING, Raymond J., 57, of Plant City passed away November 11, 2005. Mr. Clendening was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Clendening. He is survived by his wife, Susann; his mother, Alberta Clendening; two daughters, Sherri Vogel and husband Tim, and Sgt. Daneen Michelle Clendening; five grandchildren, Joshua Clendening, Jessica Vogel, Kimber Vogel, Kristen Vogel and Stephen Clendening; one sister, Sylvia Ferguson and her sons, Lynn, Michael, and Jason Bowers. Mr. Clendening was a veteran serving as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was currently employed as a security guard for the Plant City Campus of Hillsborough Community College. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy, the 8th Florida Civil War Re-enactment Group, and First Baptist Church in Plant City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Plant City with Dr. Ron Churchill officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour pr ior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request to donations to the Special Olympics Foundation or the Plant City YMCA
