Elaine was born December 20, 1948 in Donalsonville, Georgia. She grew up in Plant City, Florida graduating from Plant City High School in 1967. Just three days later, she married her true soul mate, Junior. The two of them went on to have two children, Mona and Jimmy, and made an amazing home for the children they had prayed for. Elaine and Junior loved each other above all else. They worked hard for the life they shared. On June 9, Elaine and Junior would have celebrated 50 loving years of love. Elaine considered herself to be a homemaker but we all know that was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to her. She made it seem like it was effortless for her to run and manage the family home. She did it all. Her home was always filled fun and laughter. The fun never stopped. So many memories have been made with this wonderful woman that we can now look back upon. Her life was centered on family and impacting as many young people’s lives as she possibly could by offering unconditional love, advice, discipline, and always a plate full of delicious food prepared with her love. Loving and guiding her siblings, her own children, and any other young person who showed up to their home made her happiest. She never stopped loving, teaching and guiding her own kids, taking extreme pleasure in helping to form her granddaughter into the amazing young woman she has become and was continuing her loving care with her cherished great-grandson in recent years. She always held her friends in such esteem. Her care, concern, and love were evident to everyone who knew her. She will be thoroughly missed by so many people, but especially by her closest family and friends. Please join our family in a celebration of Elaine’s life on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00am at Overcomers Community Church, 9505 East Fowler Ave., Thonotosassa, Florida (located in the Winn-Dixie Shopping Plaza).
