MISSING, John William a/k/a Thich Glac Ngo, left this earthly realm on September 30, 2013. He was a Buddhist monk at Quan Am Monastery in Tampa, Florida. His survivors are sister, Mary Ann Shalhub-Davis; and niece, Dr. Sherene Shalhub-Malo (Don); and many friends. John was a warm and compassionate man who touched many lives during life journey. People from all walks of life were held close to his heart. He devoted his time, energy, and resources to listening, teaching, and helping his family, friends and community.

She was a Public School Teacher for many years at Englewood Elementary, Venice Area Middle School and Laurel Middle School. She was a member of South Venice Baptist Church, and sang in its church choir. She is survived by her spouse, Richard; parents, Earl and Lillian Nicks, Plant City; one son, Travis Fowlkes, Englewood; one brother, Emery Nicks, Texas; and family of friends from the USF Baptist Student Union. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 12, 1997 at 10:00 AM at South Venice Baptist Church.
