SIMONDS, Cleve, age 65, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on November 14, 2014 in Long Beach, California. Cleve moved to California to work for the Edison Company. He loved the ocean, the mountains and driving along Pacific Coast Highway. Cleve is predeceased by his parents, James Ervin Simonds and Myrtle Simonds; and several siblings. Carol Short, 64, of Plant City, Florida entered into eternal rest on April 2, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Junior; children Vicki Short, Scott C. Short ( Ashley ), and Tara N. Collins ( Jon ); parents Wilson and Evelyn Smith; grandchildren Tyler, Hannah, Jordan, Lindsi, and Killian; and sisters Shari Rounds ( Wesley ) and Teresa Stewart ( Robert ). Ralph Gregory Smith of Thousand Oaks, CA and former resident of Plant City, FL, died July 22, 1995, at the age of 46.  Smith was a member of the U.S. Army Green Beret and was awarded two bronze stars in Vietnam.  Smith was an active member of Promise Keepers and founded the California chapter of the Christian Business Men's Breakfast Club.  He graduated from Plant City High School in 1967.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army, a member of Dover Advent Christian Church, and a retired Yardmaster for CSX Railroad, after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Hillsborough County and Florida Cattlemen’s Associations, and enjoyed attending Agriculture events. Opal Faye Dehnz, 74, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Beckley, WV, slipped away peacefully on September 26, 2024. She was born on December 7, 1949 in Beckley, WV.
Opal is survived by her husband, Douglas Dehnz; children, Amanda Berry and Wesley C. Berry; grandchildren, Carleigh J.
